    Hello, I'm Jess 👋🏽 I consider myself a Jack of All Trades who has had an interesting journey into the tech world. Every kid gets asked what they would like to be when they grow up, my answer from the age of 5 to the age of 16 was a Paediatrician 👩🏽‍⚕️ Safe to say by the time I went to college it was apparent that science was not my strong suit and I had to consider another career path. For most of the last 6 years I have been in an outbound sales role as either a Recruiter (usually tech) or software sales. Post University I am now an Information Analyst at Elysium Healthcare which translates to I work with a lot of data 📊 When I'm not at work, I'm burning the midnight oil trying to improve my developer skills and help others on they journey.     • January 2018 to Present

      Elysium Healthcare

      Information Analyst

      I write SQL daily. When I'm not writing queries, I am building reports in SSRS and looking at new ways to improve internal processes. One example is one of our service lines were spending 8 hours with 4+ staff creating packs for a meeting every 6 months, I implemented a new report that cut that time to prepare to 1 hour with one staff member - with the report only taking a couple of minutes to generate and the rest of that time spent gathering data that wasn't systemised. I am often writing complex queries working with large datasets to deliver reports to all our different service lines.

      Pricing Analyst

      As part of Europcar's UK Pricing Team I was responsible for the pricing strategy for multiple locations including Liverpool John Lennon Airport. This involved assessing competitor pricing, adjusting based on fleet levels, parking capacity and adjusting to seasonsal variances in demand. This involved monitoring daily KPIs, analysing market and consumer trends to optimise sales and profitability by delivering a reasonable pricing solution.

      Data Technology

      Business Development Representative

      As a provider of BI & B2B Solutions, I joined the internal sales team to help with lead generation for our key reseller partnerships such as Qlik and Alteryx. This involved developing extensive campaigns across multiple industries and creating targeted messaging for key stakeholders. In order to generate leads I was cold calling into warm & cold industry campaign lists, helping account managers expand existing accounts and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to meetings and follow ups. Within the first four weeks of joining, I achieved two company records which included quickest lead generated and highest number of leads in the first month.

      Hipparchus Financial


      Joining a specialist agency in search & selection of Banking & Financial Market individuals in a time of growth meant I was a true jack of all trades. Involved in day to day operations including administrative, financial accounts, marketing and recruitment. This role was before and during University, but was more than your average part-time role. Managed the sales pipeline to improve oversight, took candidates through each stage of the recruitment life-cycle as well as head-hunting senior level executives for leadership opportunities. Supported with resourcing and business development to existing network.

      The Chat Shop

      Outbound Sales / Chat Agent

      The Chat Experts as they are commonly known focuses on increasing conversions and delivering exceptional customer service. Joining in it's infancy, I was initially brought on as a live chat agent but quickly was asked to utilise my previous sales experience to help with our outbound lead generation. I acted in two roles - as a sales professional and as a live chat agent delivering excellent customer service to our clients customers.

    • September 2013 to August 2013

      Testing Circle


      The home where I found my passion for technology. A leading IT recruitment agency where I was brought on to find testers, developments, business analyst, project managers and more... their next opportunity. This involved building rapport with candidates, understanding their career goals and their background to help find the best opportunity available to them in the market. This involved managing candidates through the recruitment lifecycle, building a professional network to help with business development and role sourcing and headhunting for those hard to fill positions. Aside from that, I co-managed our quarterly IT Managers Network event.





    A platform to discover exclusive interviews and resources to help accelerate the learning process. Built as part of the #24hrstartup challenge, resulting in placing #7 out of 96 products launched that day! Project born out of the need to solve my own problem.     A fun little project that Peter Thaleikis and I whipped up in an hour. We love Elon Musk so we created an Random Elon Musk Quote Generator for you to share his wisdom and funny quotes.
